"Although tea consumes the major portion of my time, I recognize the importance of the business side of tea.  A tea or tea/coffee business owner who does not make a profit nor operate efficiently is a business owner who has a working hobby.  And as we all know, 'working hobby' is not an accepted form of payment at the grocery store.  I used to love hearing the swift intake of breath as sippers took their first taste of a lovely tea or said "Wow!" when servers set a food-laden tiered tray on their dining table.  My second favorite saying is:  You can't take "Wow!" to Safeway."

Featured occasionally in print media, her business and etiquette articles have appeared in the Vancouver Business Journal and Portland's Metro Parent.  Fresh Cup featured her in the Fresh Cup Tea Almanac and she has been featured numerous times in The Columbian's food, living, and holiday sections. She is an occasional etiquette resource consultant for CBS News NY and for PBS-Oregon.

She is the featured speaker at the 2010 National Shelley China Club national conference.

An eager student of most topics, Ms. Petersen's forte is her ability to form strategic alliances with those involved in similar areas of expertise.

Reading List
So many great books, so little time, so why read books that don't help? Here's my recommended book list to better develop your professional tea business offered through Amazon. And yes, I have read ALL of these books! Only books that I own, have read, and think are worth the investment of time and money are included. So, it is a relatively long list that is part of the reference libary for Tea Business School.
